Thanks mate. But it was this one:

http://web.archive.org/web/20060103034509/http://boards.scug.net/

Hey Melville,
I did a bit of quick searching and the only thing I could find on the web was this link:
http://www.wbr.com/soulcough/discus/messages/board-topics.html
It looks like board posts circa 2000-2001, but it has that familiar green background of the old site so it may have your post if you had made it that long ago. Good luck

Hi everyone. It's been a while.

Way back I posted something on the old boards: There was a documentary on German TV* about New York City that made use of a Soul Coughing song. I was pretty sure that it's name was "Leaving New York", until I re-googled it today and had to realize there were no hits.

Two assumptions: 1) I forgot the correct name of the documentary. 2) The internets forgot about the film, which wasn't that well-known anyway.

If there were an archive of the old scug boards, I could look up the correct title. Is there? DJ Fac, do you remmber?

Regards and thanks in advance,
melv

* 3sat, I guess.

I stumbled on a YouTube clip of SC performing Circles on The Late Show and felt like it was 1998 all over again. I can't believe how long ago that was. I saw SC play two shows at the Fillmore (in SF), one in 11/96 and the other in 8/97 and loved them both (though I'd give the edge to the '96 show.) Did anyone here happen to catch one of those shows? And does anyone know if they were recorded and if they're available somewhere?

Out of maybe 20 or so songs, I play two or three per night--usually Janine, Circles, St. Louise, or one of the other guitar-based ones that I wrote outright, rather than in collaboration with my ex-bandmates.

I recently bought the Amsterdam/Berlin Kufala Live CD from iTunes, and there are some issues with 3 of the final 5 songs on that CD. The second, The Incumbent, is an actual studio version of the early form of the track that was on El Oso, which I don't mind. The next song, I Miss The Girl, is everything except for the singing from the studio version of the song. The next song is Lemon Lime, another studio version. I am slightly bummed, and I'm wondering if anyone else has this same issue.

P.S., if you want the studio version of the early form of the Incumbent, I can put it up...

Hey JJam,
I put some time in looking for this because I had never heard of it. The only info I was able to find was that it was on the "Sper Bon Bon" Maxi-single out of Germany. I tried to find the thing for sale or on file sharing sights and I couldn't even get a cover photo. I check catalog sights and they don't even have it listed. I also found that it was available on the Irresistable bliss two disc Japanese set (not to be confused with the original IB Japanese version that just had Blow my Only and Lemon Lime on it), but I haven't seen that anywhere either. Hope this helps a little. Let me know if you find it.
