Mike's new album, Yes & Also Yes, comes out August 30th. It will most undoubtedly be the knee's bees and/or bee's knees. "Na Na Nothing" is the single he's released from it. I can't wait to pick it up!

arby on "Tab/Chords for Rising Sign"

Can anyone give me a hint on the chords used in Rising Sign? It sounds like F# - G - D and then either A or E on the "it's all inside the wrist" part. I'm trying to learn how to play it and I can tell it's not that hard. I just *really* suck at deciphering the notes, as you can see! Singing into my Korg tuner, it's pretty pathetic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had no luck getting the Skittish Sessions in it's entirety via internet. I find a few songs here and there, but not all 18 songs. Can anyone help me out?

also, I was reading through some forum (trying to find the skittish sessions), and came across someone who said they had a "bootleg" version of Haughty Melodic, which included songs off the album in very rough "un-produced" forms. Anyone know if this guy was bluffing?

What do people think about the new song?

Mike on the new album in Paste mag:
“Some hated it, some loved it better than Soul Coughing,” Doughty says. “I tend to take sharp left turns. Every time I put out a record, the audience seems to like what I did two years ago better. You’d think I could shrug it off because that’s what always happens, but it always gets to me.”

This statement makes sense if you recognize the level of the work going steadily down.

This first tune is like a b-side off Golden Delicious. I don't wanna slag before I hear the whole record.

Ok, I will. After a couple cheesy albums, time is ripe for getting the band back together? Everyone from the 90's canon is doing it, yeah! I had some hopes for GD but that was a total turd. Who are these people at Schubas for 3 nights? I know they all can all suck my balls and I know it ain't the same as in '95 and it's over. I guess we're all too old to give a shit. Not to be too negative ;)

Anybody have any info on this "electronic album" Doughty is supposedly coming out with called Dubious Luxury? That press release about his newest album was the first I had heard of it. Release date? Is it going to be similar to Rockity Roll, or more like what he did in concert with the sampler during "More Bacon...", or something else?
